Unlike typical generators, Sirocco wind turbine has not rotational, but linear motion. And that’s exactly how the bird’s wings move while flying. The power output of each turbine can be increased or decreased with changes in the blade width, angle of attack, and blade density. We can also create turbines with different nominal wind speed adapted to site-specific operating conditions.

The power output of each turbine can be increased or decreased with changes in the blade width, angle of attack, and blade density. We can also create turbines with different nominal wind speed adapted to site-specific operating conditions.
Sirocco wind turbine is equipped with a wind tracking system. It receives signals from the sensor about wind speed and direction and turns the turbine perpendicular to the wind direction. That ensures maximum generation efficiency at every moment. During the storm wind the turbine stops and goes to a feathered position, parallel to the wind direction. That makes it safe for both people and the mechanism itself.

To put that into context, an average air conditioner can reach a decibel level of 50 decibels of noise, and most refrigerators run at around 40 decibels.

In traditional wind turbines, a large generator and their twisted blades create infrasound. Due to our slower blade movement, smaller generators size, and innovative blade design, Sirocco turbines produce no infrasound and have low mechanical noise.

That’s how we solved vibration issues in our construction:
Instead of using one large generator we use four or five small ones, which cause less vibration of higher frequency.
Generators are unsynchronized, so their vibration is partly compensating one other, preventing resonances.
Blades move along the track. The track is attached to the mast through spring damping system.

More blades equal more balance.
