Hi everyone,
Today, we would like to discuss the production of Sirocco wind turbines and the scaling process. Firstly, it is important to understand that our wind turbines consist of two types of elements: simple and unique.
Simple elements such as cutting, bending sheet metal, laser cutting of pipes, and stamping are performed by our contractors. These processes are typical metal operations that can be done in facilities designed for large volumes. We can easily scale production of these parts by utilizing existing large contractor facilities.
Unique elements such as blades, track, and blade connection systems require special equipment created by Sirocco engineers. We produce these unique elements in our own small facilities. For blade production, we have developed equipment that produces blades with the necessary parameters. Our blades are made entirely of aluminum, which allows for powder coating, providing low cost, high speed, and reliability.
Other second type elements include the track and the blade connection system, as they require high precision and are unique elements of the technology, whose drawings we do not pass on to contractors.
Other important elements manufactured directly by us are the controller, wind turbine data transmission, and remote control system. Our small facilities also perform welding, small-scale assembly, quality control, painting, and testing processes.
The challenge of scaling the production of the second type of elements lies in the need to scale the unique equipment itself. This requires training workers to operate the specialized equipment. Reproducing this equipment and training specialists is the main task during scaling and requires significant resources.
